Habitat for Humanity – Southern Indiana Homes
Overview
In partnership with Calhoun Construction, Trademark Universal Stone contributed to the construction of two homes for Habitat for Humanity in Southern Indiana. Recognizing the importance of supporting families with limited resources, Trademark Universal Stone donated its expertise by providing high-quality granite countertops, bringing a touch of elegance to homes typically outfitted with more basic materials.
Challenge
The Habitat for Humanity project came with unique considerations. Each Habitat project relies on multiple trades offering their services at reduced rates or as donations, and coordination across all participating teams was crucial. Working within the set guidelines of Habitat and aligning with the overall design needs of these homes required seamless planning and execution to ensure everything fit within the vision and community standards.
Solution
Committed to supporting Habitat’s mission, Trademark Universal Stone provided both the fabrication and installation of granite countertops at no charge. The installation covered perimeter kitchen countertops, an island, and sinks for each home. By elevating the quality of materials, Trademark Universal Stone aimed to offer families not only durability but also a premium look that transformed the kitchens into a warm and welcoming space.
